Bus driver shortages force double‑back routes, long ride times and contingency planning in Brecksville‑Broadview Heights

District leaders said several longtime drivers recently retired and new hires are onboarding, but shortages persist. To maintain service, transportation staff sometimes run double‑back routes: a single bus completes one short route, returns to the school, and then runs a second route.
