Jeff Wilbacher, who identified himself as the new executive director of the Phillips County Development Corporation, introduced himself to the council and said he has been on the job about three weeks and will be attending meetings across the county.
A member of the public, Tom Mette, spoke during the public forum to urge council support for item 3, which he described as confirming planning approval and continuing operation of a small animal clinic at 1625 Berndham Street in Old Bridge, Nebraska; Mette said his family has used the clinic for about 30 years and called it a "very professional clinic." No formal council action on that planning item occurred because the meeting lacked a quorum.
The presiding council member closed the public forum after the comments and thanked the speakers for attending.
