The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors announced reportable actions after a closed session held Oct. 21.
County Counsel reported the board, by a 5-0 vote, approved resolution of the lawsuit Fong v. San Joaquin County; County Counsel said the terms will be made available upon request once all parties have signed the settlement agreements.
The board also voted 5-0 to initiate new litigation (the item was authorized in closed session); County Counsel said a copy of the litigation filing will be available once parties have been served.
County Counsel provided only procedural details in open session and said additional information will follow consistent with legal confidentiality and settlement procedures.
Ending: The board's open-session report included only the procedural actions taken in closed session; staff said further documents will be released when legally appropriate.
