The South Russell Village Architect Review Board approved ARB Case 25-245205 for a salt-storage building on Philadelphia Road at its Oct. 21 meeting.
Applicant representatives described a building to replace salt domes. The design shows concrete walls up to the structural bearing, with vinyl siding above the poured wall and an asphalt-shingle roof to match existing facility finishes. The applicant said the older dome structures were to be removed by late April (the transcript references an April window) and that the new building—s layout allows trucks improved access and vehicle staging on the west side of the structure.
Board members queried materials and color coordination; the applicant responded the finish will match adjacent buildings (light/medium gray and white) and that the concrete walls will contain stockpiled salt so the material does not spill out the sides. A motion to approve the building as submitted carried by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
