Architect Review Board asks applicant to revise Bell Road pool house drawings to match proposed materials

The South Russell Village Architect Review Board on Oct. 21 asked the applicant for ARB Case 25-211572 (Bell Road) to revise and resubmit pool house drawings so the materials shown match the applicant—s description.

Board members expressed general approval of the pool house form and the placement of doors and openings but said the submitted sheets conflicted with the applicant—s stated materials. The applicant said the pool house will have dark gray horizontal lap siding and an asphalt shingle roof; the drawings, however, show vertical board-and-batten siding and a ribbed metal roof in some sheets.

"What we would like to do is have the drawings updated to show horizontal siding, asphalt shingle roofs, and run windows," a board member said during the review, noting the conflict between the plans and the materials described in the presentation.

The board moved to require resubmission of revised drawings that accurately depict the proposed materials; the motion passed by voice vote. The board did not record a roll-call tally in the minutes.

The applicant indicated some window trim and finish decisions remain to be detailed; board members asked that the updated submittal include trim treatment around windows and clarify any metal accent locations so the final permit set corresponds with the materials that will be installed.

The board scheduled the item to return to a future meeting after the applicant submits revised drawings.
