Poole said she had completed the “Living in Balance” program but had not finished prerelease programming and had not yet earned her GED, missing the math subtest by one point.
Board members pressed Poole about the length of time served — she told the panel she had been incarcerated since August 2023 — and about completion of programming. Members said the combination of limited time served on this sentence, remaining programming needs and drug‑related history counseled against early release. The panel voted to deny the request; members encouraged Poole to complete prerelease coursework and obtain her GED. The denial was recorded at 10:07 a.m.
