Board approves multiple purchases and contracts, delays rip-rap work pending federal funding

Software and devices: The board approved a one-year renewal (retroactive to an executive decision on Sept. 11, 2025) for the SuccessMaker reading intervention license for K—8 students at Salina K-8 and Henry Spring School. The board also approved quotes for Chromebooks and desktop computers retroactive to the Sept. 11 executive decision.
Patient/family-centered care services: The board approved the annual patient- and family-centered care services agreement between Bellevue University Medical Center and the Clay County School System to support students who are hospitalized and missing school.
Each procurement item was presented with the vendor or the packet material noted. Most motions passed by voice vote with "Aye" and no recorded opposition; the rip-rap waterways project remains contingent on Soil Conservation Service funding and awaits the federal funding process to resume.
