James Vaden, the county’s stormwater director, told the board on Oct. 2 that staff completed about 140 inspections in September, roughly in line with the prior year's workload.
Vaden said the public comment period for the stormwater item closed Sept. 8 and that the office had received no public comments. He also said staff will attend the Tennessee Stormwater Association annual conference Oct. 20–23 in Chattanooga.
Board members asked about the nature of the complaints logged in the office's summary; Vaden said most complaints were construction-related erosion issues or general stormwater runoff concerns. The board approved the stormwater report by voice vote.
