Eureka Union trustees recess into closed session on personnel and potential litigation

The Eureka Union School District Board of Trustees convened its Oct. 13 meeting at 5:30 p.m. and announced it would go into closed session to discuss personnel matters and potential litigation.

Lisa Cataldo, identified in the meeting as a staff member, established a quorum after roll call. Trustee Conklin, Trustee Dahlstrom and Trustee Grover were present; Trustee Holt was absent. President Nash indicated there was no public comment and said the board would move to disclosures for closed-session topics.

President Nash disclosed the topics the board planned to consider in closed session: public employment matters, public employee discipline, dismissal and release under Government Code section 54957, and anticipated litigation and initiation of litigation under Government Code section 54956.9 (including a reference to paragraph (d)(4) of that section). The board said it would return to open session at approximately 6:30 p.m.
