PSAP renewals: commissioners approve NeoGov/PowerDMS software and pest-control contract

The county’s emergency communications center (PSAP) asked the board to renew two NeoGov/PowerDMS subscriptions (PowerEngage for caller feedback and PowerReady for training tracking). St. Joseph County’s PSAP (9-1-1) presenters asked the board to approve renewals for two software subscriptions and a vendor contract; the board approved both requests.
Nick Brovald presented the PowerEngage caller-feedback subscription and PowerReady training-tracking subscription from NeoGov/PowerDMS. Brovald said the county launched PowerEngage in March and has received just over 11,000 returned surveys with an overall positivity rating of 94% from about 32% participation (roughly 30,000 surveys sent). PowerReady is used daily to create training quizzes, task lists and to record trainers’ observations on trainee progress.
Separately, PSAP administrative manager Theresa Cromartie requested approval to hire Arrow Pest Control for annual pest-control services at PSAP facilities. Cromartie said the prior provider (Orkin) did not meet expectations; Arrow is slightly more expensive but used elsewhere in county operations.
Both requests were approved on motions and recorded aye votes.
Ending: PSAP will renew the NeoGov/PowerDMS subscriptions and begin services with Arrow Pest Control under the approved agreements.
