Macomb County commissioners appoint advisory members, approve committee recommendations and defer Martha T. Berry millage vote

- Concurrence with executive appointments to the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority for two three‑year terms (expire 09/30/2028) for Dennis Chap and Denise Guzman. The motion to concur was moved by Commissioner Romano and supported by Commissioner Groat; the board vote passed 13-0.
- Adoption of four proclamations presented as items 8a–8d, including a memorial proclamation for David Tercel, a proclamation recognizing Eagle Scout Matthew Majerzak, recognition of October as Michigan Library Appreciation Month, and a 100th‑anniversary proclamation for Bon Riddell’s Bakery (to be presented at a later date). The motion to adopt the proclamations was moved by Commissioner Hawes and supported by Commissioner Wallace; vote recorded 13-0.

- The board unanimously postponed the subrecipient agreement for Harrison Township’s dial-a-ride program (agenda item 13l) to the Nov. 6 Public Services Committee meeting. The motion to postpone was made by Commissioner Kraft and supported by Commissioner Romano; the full‑board vote passed 13-0.

Commissioner Lucido said the delay was requested to allow more time to explore alternatives and review budgetary implications.
Other procedural items approved by unanimous vote included adoption of the meeting agenda and approval of full-board minutes dated Sept. 18, 2025, and closed-session minutes dated Oct. 7, 2025.
Public participation: during the open public comment period, one attendee, Paul Shorsch of Clinton Township, addressed road conditions and urged lowering speed limits on Moravian Drive and faster repair of potholes. The board closed public participation after hearing the remarks.
A final motion to adjourn was approved by a 13-0 vote at the end of the meeting.
