The city’s Human Resources Department updated the commission on Oct. 21 about the process to recruit the next city attorney. HR reported it has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a search firm to manage stakeholder input, develop a job profile, recruit candidates and advise on the selection process.
HR said the RFP response deadline is Oct. 22 and that it anticipates recommending a search firm for commission consideration in November. The overall search is expected to take approximately four to five months from kickoff to final candidate recommendation. HR said it will serve as the principal liaison with the selected firm.
The update was informational; commissioners were told there would be opportunities for public engagement as the search firm develops a stakeholder outreach plan.
