The Farragut Planning Commission on Sept. 25, 2025, approved an AT&T request to extend fiber cable under Parkside Drive to serve the Turkey Creek Medical Center at 11440 Parkside Drive.
Staff presented the request as a single short directional boring under Parkside Drive from the north side near 11471 Parkside Drive to the south side to reach the medical facility. Staff said the installer holds a town bond to ensure any damage is repaired and recommended approval "subject to obtaining a right of way permit from the town's engineering department." The commission approved the request by voice vote.
No AT&T representative spoke at the meeting and no members of the public signed up to comment. The action requires the applicant to obtain the town right-of-way permit and comply with any permit conditions enforced by the engineering department before work begins.
The approval recorded no roll-call tally in the public record; the commission adopted the motion by a voice vote with no recorded objections.
