Council adopts IHDA Pontiac community revitalization plan resolution

The City Council approved Resolution 2025 R005 to adopt the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s (IHDA) Pontiac Community Revitalization Plan and to support its implementation.
A council member summarized that the IHDA plan includes an assessment of housing conditions, strategic neighborhood revitalization initiatives and resource allocation recommendations. “This resolution is a follow-up from the presentation that we had, where the Illinois Housing Development Authority developed a Pontiac Community Revitalization Plan to address critical housing needs and promote community revitalization,” the councilor said.
The mayor said that once the city signs the resolution the full document will be provided to city staff for local use and implementation planning.
The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by roll call.
