It also noted that the county court clerk's office has processed more than 3,000 victim protective order (BPO) filings this year and described dedicated services such as a deputy assigned to serve orders and Palomar's Monday courthouse clinic.
The resolution text formally recognized Palomar, the YWCA of Oklahoma City and other local providers for advocacy, legal services and wraparound supports and declared October as domestic violence awareness month in Oklahoma County.
A motion to approve the resolution passed without recorded opposition. Commissioners invited members of the public and organization representatives forward for a photograph after the vote.
