Staff said the calendar follows past practice (meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month) and that the finalized schedule must be in the city office by Dec. 15. Committee members discussed whether the city should hold more regular meetings to reduce the number of special-call meetings; one councilor said the limited number of regular meetings this year led to time-sensitive special calls.
Staff and some councilors noted that changes can be proposed at the council-level meeting before final adoption. The committee approved the proposed calendar by roll call and will forward it for final council approval; the item did not add extra meeting dates and used the prior-year pattern except for holiday adjustments.
