The City of Muskogee public works committee approved a 15-day extension to the notice-to-award date for the Muskogee Wastewater Treatment Plant bid opening to comply with state purchasing regulations.
City staff said the extension is necessary because the city's council meeting schedule would not otherwise allow the city to meet the competitive bidding timeline for award notification. Staff reported consulting with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB), which advised placing the extension on the council agenda so the board would have a recorded approval for its records.
The committee moved, seconded and approved the 15-day extension on a unanimous roll call. Staff said the extension keeps the procurement in compliance with state rules; no other bidders or specification changes were discussed at the meeting.
The action preserves the procurement timeline and is administrative; the city will return with award documents once procurement steps are complete.
