Summary
The PBA board approved a lease giving the District Attorney additional storage at a county-owned property, set annual rent at $133,279.20, and agreed to reserve 20 parking spaces for a judges’ Law Day visit by legislators.
The Oklahoma County Public Buildings Authority trustees on Oct. 22 approved a lease agreement that will provide the District Attorney’s office with additional storage space at a county-owned building and approved reserving parking for a Law Day event for legislators.
Trustees voted to accept a lease to provide an additional 11,269 square feet of storage space at 7401 Northeast 20 Third (as listed in meeting materials). PBA staff said the District Attorney will occupy 18,511 square feet in total in the building after the addition. The lease sets rent at $7.20 per square foot, producing an annual rent of $133,279.20, according to PBA staff.
PBA staff said PBA bond funds financed a new roof on the building and the meeting packet included photographic documentation of interior demolition and the planned racking layout. Trustees voted to receive the documents and to approve the lease.
Separately, trustees agreed to reserve 20 parking spaces in Metro 1 for a judges’ Law Day for legislators on Oct. 29. The Oklahoma County Car Association agreed to pay for the parking; staff said the cost would be $10 per space per day and that the association would pay in advance. Trustees approved reserving the spaces by voice vote.
