Osceola County supervisors approve agenda, minutes, October schedule and claims

The Osceola County Board of Supervisors approved routine business items including the meeting agenda, minutes from the Sept. 16 session, the October meeting schedule and the county's claims.

The board approved the agenda on a motion from Schulte, with support from Deborah (Loring/other member names recorded in the roll call), and approved the Sept. 16 minutes following a motion by DeVore and second by Loring. The board set October meeting dates (noted in the record as Oct. 14 and Oct. 28) on a motion by Helmers with support from Schulte.

During the claims review the board considered a claim for Bosman Water Service (claim number 497 on the auditor's list). Staff explained the election-related claim is reimbursable and will be written as a single check if it is in the same fund despite being submitted as two claims. The board approved the Bosman Water Service claim and then approved the remainder of the presented claims; motions were made and seconded and the board recorded ayes with no recorded opposition.

There was brief discussion about purchase processes and state pricing for sheriff's office equipment; no substantive changes to procurement policy were made at the meeting.
