The Arlington Heights School District 25 Board of Education voted unanimously Sept. 30 to adopt the district’s 2025-26 budget following a public hearing that produced no public comments.
Board member Kevin (mover) recommended adoption and Board member Anisha Tranter seconded. The roll call by Dr. Brian Kaye recorded a 7-0 vote in favor.
The budget before the board reflects updates presented to trustees since the tentative budget was posted in August, district finance staff said. Stacy (finance director) told the board the revenue side was updated to reflect newly identified federal funds and the reallocation of property tax receipts tied to the timing of collections. On the expenditure side, staff adjusted the special education tuition estimate to account for recent “move‑in” students, added estimated costs related to recent drying and flood repairs with an offsetting insurance reimbursement, and shifted several grant and operating line items.
Stacy said these changes were summarized in the board packet and that detailed backup was available for review. Trustees discussed the material briefly but did not amend the document before the vote.
The board opened and closed a public hearing on the budget at the start of the meeting after no members of the public requested to speak.
The district will post the adopted budget and the required compensation reports on its website, as Stacy noted, consistent with posting requirements that accompany budget adoption.
