City liquor operations staff announced a five‑course food-and-wine pairing dinner at Revolve Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event is ticketed, with limited seating (the presenters said 30 seats available), and will feature guest winemaker Malik Amrani and chef Thomas Bamer. Staff said the event will include curated wine pairings and special pricing on the featured wines; tickets can be purchased at shop.applevalleyliquor.com or via the city liquor site. Council members moved to add the event to the calendar; the motion to approve the calendar (including the Oct. 7 event) was made by Councilman Bridal and seconded by Council Member Bergman and carried.
Separately, the Police Chief invited residents to a police operations facility open house on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Staff asked attendees to park at Eastview High School across the street and said police will provide free hot dogs and an opportunity to meet staff and view the new building.
Council members discussed potential conflicts if multiple council members attend ticketed events and agreed to note the event on the calendar to avoid unintentional open‑meeting issues.
