SFUSD board approves two stipulated expulsions, directs counsel in three OAH cases

At its Sept. meeting the San Francisco Unified School District Board approved two stipulated expulsions in closed session and voted to give legal direction to the district general counsel in three anticipated Office of Administrative Hearings cases.
The San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education voted unanimously in closed session to approve two stipulated expulsions and later reported the actions in open session.
The Board approved a stipulated expulsion agreement for one high school student (matter number 2025-2026-01) covering the remainder of the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters; the student will attend the Civic Center program during the expulsion period. The Board also approved a stipulated expulsion agreement for one middle school student (matter number 2025-2026-02) covering the same period, but with suspended expulsion status and placement at one of two comprehensive middle school options provided by SFUSD during the suspended period. Both motions passed by roll call vote with seven ayes.
In addition to the expulsions, the Board reported that it provided direction to the general counsel in three matters of anticipated litigation being pursued at the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH): student K.O. (OAH case 2025060285), student C.C. (OAH case 2025070375), and student D.C. (OAH case 2025060014). The report noted the Board voted to give direction in each matter by a 7–0 vote.
Board President Moon Hak Kim opened and closed the report of closed-session actions when the meeting resumed in open session. The Board did not discuss details of the underlying allegations in open session; the public record shows only the formal actions and the OAH case numbers the Board referenced.
The voted actions are administrative and do not create new district policy; they implement disciplinary resolutions and provide counsel direction in pending legal matters.
The Board discussed no further changes to these cases during the public meeting.
