Toledo council approves park reallocations, donations, equipment purchases and several agreements

The Toledo City Council on Oct. 7 approved a slate of routine expenditures, donations and intergovernmental agreements covering parks, public safety equipment, grants and utility projects.
Parks and youth services director Joe Fosnaught said the administration requested authorization to reallocate $169,497.10 within the Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (ARPA) to finish several park projects and youth programs. "Over the past 4 years, we've... we were allocated $66,000,000 for youth programming, when the Toledo recovery plan was put together. We were also allocated $12,000,000 for park improvement projects," Fosnaught said. He added the city has leveraged private donations and grants to deliver about "$25,000,000 worth of park improvements" and said $77,268.07 of the reallocation will remain tied to youth programming.
