Nassau County panel recommends two site plans to department heads

The Nassau County Development Review Committee on Sept. 30 recommended two site plans — SP25023 (Tributary Unit 17) and SP25030 (Wildlife Community First Credit Union) — be forwarded to department heads for approval, after committee members said department reviewers had no comments.

The recommendation is a procedural step that forwards the two site-plan applications to department heads for final administrative approval. Committee members said the planning, development services, health, building and fire-rescue reviewers had no additional comments on either application.

Tim Davidson, chair and a representative of development services, opened the meeting and said two projects were being recommended to department heads for approval. Committee introductions listed Stephanie Keiser from planning; Ronnie Nestor from the health department; Tom Ray from the building department; and Thomas Ford from Nassau County Fire Rescue.

For SP25023, identified in the meeting as "Tributary Unit 17," the committee moved to tab A and solicited departmental comments. Planning had no comments; development services had no additional comments; the health department, the building department and fire rescue likewise reported no comments.

For SP25030, introduced as "Wildlife Community First Credit Union," the committee moved to tab B and again asked departments for input. Planning, development services, the health department, the building department and fire rescue each reported no comments.

No formal roll-call votes or individual motions were recorded in the meeting transcript. Chair Davidson closed the session after the committee completed the two agenda items.

The matters will now proceed to the county department heads for their administrative approval process; the meeting record indicates no departmental objections were raised at this committee meeting.
