Commissioners appoint Shu Wa Mu to Planning Commission District 1 seat
Summary
The Board of County Commissioners appointed Shu Wa Mu to fill seat 2 in District 1 of the Skagit County Planning Commission during the Sept. 29 meeting; the appointment was approved by voice vote, 3–0.
Commissioner Wiesen nominated a District 1 candidate and the board moved to appoint Shu Wa Mu to seat number 2 on the Skagit County Planning Commission. Senior planner Ravi Eckcroft described the two-step process: a district commissioner nominates and the Board of County Commissioners votes to appoint for the four-year term.
Commissioners moved, seconded and unanimously approved the appointment by voice vote; commissioners recorded the motion as carried 3–0. The appointee’s first meeting was noted as Oct. 14 on the meeting record.
