The proclamation text read, in part, that the city “commends Bob Rehak for his outstanding contributions to the safety, resilience, and well‑being of the Lake Houston area.”
Rehak, who was presented the proclamation, responded to the room: “You are all why I do this every day.” He thanked neighbors for their participation and urged continued attention to local flood‑risk issues.
The proclamation will remain part of the municipal record; meeting organizers said they would post the text on the district’s public information channels.
