The Facilities and Operations Committee recommended awarding a $9,428,523 proposal to Gordian Group and SJ Thomas to purchase a prefabricated transportation building for the district.
District staff said the transportation building is a delegated-design steel structure and that Gordian Group had been planned for procurement from an early stage. The recommended amount — $9,428,523 — represents the price returned through that delegated procurement route and is part of the larger North Penn High renovation and site-work program.
The committee voted to recommend board approval with no objections recorded. Staff said the item will be incorporated into upcoming budget updates and will be discussed further at the October work session, where scope descoping options will also be reviewed with SJ Thomas.
The committee’s recommendation clears the way for the district to finalize procurement and schedule details at the full-board level.
