Parent urges removal of a challenged book from district libraries and online reconsideration process under SB 13

Linebach referenced the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the CDC and other sources in support of her remarks and invoked Senate Bill 13, saying the law requires reconsideration forms to be posted online and that acquisition responsibility rests with the board. She urged the district to remove the book from school libraries and ensure reconsideration forms are easily located without librarian or principal preapproval.
The board did not take action during public comment. Trustees acknowledged the concern; the public comment period does not permit board deliberation on non-agenda items.
Linebach also thanked the district for public displays of the Ten Commandments in classrooms and praised the districts awards that evening.
