The Comal ISD Board of Trustees approved resolutions Thursday nominating Sean Alvarez and Case Brown to the Comal County Appraisal District Board of Directors.
District administration noted that the board may nominate candidates for open positions on local appraisal district boards under the Texas Property Tax Code (section cited in the meeting materials) and that nominations must be submitted to the chief appraiser by the applicable deadline.
Trustees voted 7-0 to approve the resolutions for the Comal County Appraisal District nominations. The district reported no nominations for Bexar, Guadalupe or Hays appraisal district boards at this time.
Board members said administration defers to trustees for these nominations and that staff would submit the approved resolutions to the chief appraiser.
