SARPY COUNTY, Neb. — The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 30 awarded a $176,896 contract to repair the exterior insulated finish system (EIFS) at the county’s Juvenile Justice Center and sheriff’s office, approved several routine consent items including a tax correction, and recessed for an executive session to discuss litigation.
Assistant County Administrator Beth Garber told the board the county opened three bids on Sept. 10 for the EIFS repair and restoration project for the Juvenile Justice Center (JJC) and the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office. "The low bid was Revival Caulking and Restoration in the amount of $176,896. The (other) was $554,478," Garber said. She showed images of cracking and discoloration on the buildings’ exterior and said work is expected to be completed at the sheriff’s office "by October" and at the JJC "by 2026."
