After interviews closed the board president asked for a motion to appoint Triano. A motion was made and seconded (mover and seconder not specified in the transcript). The board then took a roll-call vote; all eight voting members answered "yes." The roll call recorded: Borthwick, Casey, Cheswick, Fox, McAndrew, Merkel, Zlecki and Holmes all voting yes, producing an 8-0 affirmative tally. The board president announced, "8 affirmative. K. District solicitor Larry Murray administered the oath to Triano and asked him to sign the appointment paperwork. The new director was asked to remain for the upcoming work session and will participate as a voting member.
