City staff told the Pendergrass City Council on Sept. 30 that the city’s fall festival is scheduled for Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the amphitheater at 435 Fremont Road. Staff described more than 50 vendors expected to participate, a DJ, food vendors (including a beer vendor), a car show on Oct. 18 and activities for children including jump houses, an inflatable obstacle course and face painting.
Staff said a pet-adoption booth will be run by Puppet Cat Company of Barrow County. Council members discussed parking logistics and noted possible use of nearby grass areas and shuttle options if additional parking is needed.
On other community items, staff said park equipment that the city purchased should be installed in about two to three weeks and that a tractor the council previously approved is expected to arrive next week.
Council members characterized these items as routine event planning and park maintenance; no formal council action was recorded on the festival logistics or the equipment timeline during the meeting.
