Ada County approves bulk renewals and intergovernmental agreements including health and city prosecution services

Ada County commissioners on Sept. 30 approved a package of renewal agreements and intergovernmental contracts listed on the agenda. The batch included 55 agreements that cover a range of county operations and partnerships.
County leadership highlighted key agreements in the packet: renewal contracts with multiple cities for prosecution of misdemeanors (the county’s prosecutor handles felonies as a county responsibility), an agreement with Central District Health for use of Expo Idaho facilities during public-health emergencies, an agreement with Mallier County, Oregon (spelled in the agenda) for juvenile placements at county facilities, and continued partnerships with community providers such as Genesis Community Health for medical and dental services for underserved residents.
During discussion a commissioner noted Genesis Community Health supports medical and dental services and identified a funding amount in the packet (the speaker said an amount they believed to be “155,50,000” and described the funds as split between health and dental services). The board approved the batch motion and authorized the chair to sign the documents on behalf of the board.
County staff said the agreements are available on the meeting agenda for public review. The board recorded the motion to approve and voted in favor.
