Sheriff says jail district measure likely to pass, asks critics to propose alternatives

It's no longer up to industry standards or the infrastructure, and support many more years, any years,” he said on air. He told listeners that if they oppose the measure he wants them to propose workable alternatives: “If you're gonna say no, help us. Help us figure out what we do then.”
He encouraged residents with questions to contact the sheriff’s office directly and said the public-information effort will continue as the county moves toward a vote. Danlos acknowledged that there are “naysayers” but urged community engagement and shared information among local, state and federal partners.
