Florence City Planning Commission approves annexations for Smithfield Phase 3 and a West Sumter parcel

The parcel is a legal lot of record and staff said the NC-6.2 designation limits development on the lot to single-family houses. Staff noted the owner may need a variance depending on the width of any proposed home to meet setback requirements.
The public hearing for the West Sumter parcel closed with no public comment. The commission approved the annexation and NC-6.2 zoning on a voice vote.
