Board approves personnel slate; district names Brian Wyatt technology director as Kim Jackson retires

Superintendent Dr. Putnam reported personnel items for board approval: 10 separations, four leaves of absence, 35 employments, 56 employee status changes, seven staff coaches, four nonstaff coaches and three volunteer coach services. The board moved and approved the personnel slate without recorded opposition.
Board members held a recognition for Kim Jackson, whom they described as a longtime director of technology who led the district through events including a ransomware incident and other IT challenges. Dr. Putnam said the district interviewed multiple applicants and selected Brian Wyatt, who has worked in the system for 21 years, as the new technology director. Wyatt addressed the board, saying he recognized he had “big shoes to fill” and that he looked forward to supporting students, teachers and the community.
Board members congratulated Jackson on her retirement and welcomed Wyatt. The board did not take additional personnel actions beyond the approved slate during the meeting.
