The Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 3 approved the meeting’s consent agenda and heard members and a community participant praise staff outreach tied to the downtown regional area plan.
Commissioner Quinn moved to accept the consent agenda “for September 3 as presented.” A second was recorded but not named. The commission approved the consent agenda with verbal “aye” votes; the minutes do not record individual roll-call votes.
The meeting included one substantive member comment praising staff engagement on the downtown regional area plan. Community member Mister Gilson told the commission staff had made “over 1,100 touch points on that, on the presentation that you guys gave us and working with the, the downtown regional area plan,” and said the outreach “means you guys listen to people, means you took the time to contact them.” He concluded, “So well done.”
No unscheduled public appearances were made during the meeting’s public-comment call; the commission’s prior study session had reviewed the consent items.
Commissioners noted the next regular meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.
