Board approves consent calendar and enters executive session on facility security, both 5-0
Summary
On Sept. 2 the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners approved the consent calendar 5-0 and later voted 5-0 to go into executive session under CRS 24-6-402(4)(e) to discuss security arrangements at county facilities.
The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners approved the consent calendar (items 5a through 5f2) by a 5-0 roll call on Sept. 2. A motion to approve the consent calendar was moved and seconded and commissioners Wysong, Nelson, Applegate, Vice Chair Williams and the Chair each voted aye.
Later in the meeting the board approved a motion, also by a 5-0 roll call, to go into an executive session under Colorado law to discuss security arrangements. The executive session was cited as CRS 24-6-402(4)(e) and was requested by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and County Human Resources & Risk Management to discuss security arrangements or investigations including defenses against terrorism, with county attorney Kenneth Hodges and Rick Bransford of human resources and risk management named as participants.
The meeting record shows both votes were unanimous with no recorded no votes, abstentions or recusals; the motions were moved, seconded and the roll calls were completed.
