Animal services reports rising adoptions, modular kennel ground‑breaking and new supervisor

Cross said the department is “eagerly awaiting our new modular kennel building,” with a small groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Thursday, and introduced Joe Alcaraz as the new supervisor for animal services; Cross said Alcaraz brings more than 10 years of experience in animal control. Cross encouraged residents looking for pets to consider adoption and noted the shelter continues to use foster placements.
