Del Valle ISD staff reported that the district issued a request for proposals for HVAC air‑filter replacement services covering purchase, delivery, installation and disposal of filters across campus sites.
Facilities staff said the RFP seeks vendors with at least five years of experience. Evaluation criteria include vendor qualifications, design and materials, and cost. The RFP opened Aug. 8 and closes Sept. 5; staff will recommend a contractor to the board after evaluation. Board members asked whether the work replaces an existing service; staff replied the prior contract expired and vendors were notified.
Staff estimated a quarterly filter replacement cycle (four service visits per year) and said the selected contractor will present a lump‑sum annual contract price reflecting four quarterly replacements.
