Sonoma opens nominations for Treasure Artist and student awards; selection set for November

Tracy described program benefits and traditions associated with the award: a public Treasure Artist reception (recently made free to attend), inclusion in the Fourth of July parade, and a rotating exhibition slot in the chamber’s gallery program. The commission forms an event ad hoc each year to help plan the reception and related activities; donations raised at the reception are routinely applied to the student creative-artist awards if not used for event costs.
