Summary

Spanish Fork officials and the airshow organizer briefed the City Council Sept. 16 on the city’s annual Wings and Wheels airshow, set for Sept. 27 at the Spanish Fork Airport. Organizer Christian told the council the city hosted more than 17,000 attendees last year and that pre‑ticket sales indicate this year’s crowd could top 20,000.
“There’s a lot of aircraft rides available that weekend,” Christian said, listing several historic World War II aircraft scheduled to appear, including a PBY Catalina, a Privateer (the last flying Privateer in the world), a C‑47 (“Old Number 30”), and a B‑17 (“Ye Olde Pub”). Event maps, performer lineups, sponsor information and ticket links are posted at spanishfork.gov/airshow. Organizers noted children 12 and under receive free admission and online ticket purchases save about $5 per adult ticket.
The airshow will run 9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Sept. 27. Organizers added a new teen ticket this year and recommended buying tickets online to avoid long entry lines. The city also confirmed helicopter rides and additional historic aircraft ride opportunities will be available with advance signup.
