The Hawaiian Gardens City Council unanimously approved the Aug. 27 meeting agenda and the consent calendar during the opening portion of the meeting.
A council member moved to approve the agenda “as presented” and another council member seconded; the roll call recorded votes of “Yes” from Council member Farfan, Council member Roa, Mayor Pro Tem del Rio and Mayor DePaula; Mayor DePaula announced the motion carried.
Later the council moved and seconded approval of the consent calendar. The same roll-call sequence—Farfan, Roa, Mayor Pro Tem del Rio and Mayor DePaula—was recorded as voting “Yes,” and the mayor announced the motion carried.
No items were pulled from the consent calendar and there were no public hearings on the agenda for the evening.
