The Galt City Council recorded the following formal actions at its Sept. 2 meeting.
Consent calendar (Items E.1–E.3): The council approved three consent calendar items — warrants ending Aug. 21, 2025; minutes of Aug. 19, 2025; and the treasurer’s report for the period ending July 2025. Motion to approve was made by Councilmember Grama and seconded by Vice Mayor Sandhu. Roll call votes recorded Vice Mayor Sandhu: Aye; Councilmember Grama: Aye; Councilmember Reid: Aye; Mayor Farmer: Aye. Outcome: approved 4‑0.
Home Buying Assistance Program (regular calendar): The council authorized a one‑time allocation of $250,000 to establish a pilot Home Buying Assistance Program for full‑time city employees, enabling loans up to $25,000 secured by a city lien with staged forgiveness. Motion to approve as amended (adding a market‑rate penalty/interest provision to be applied by the oversight committee on default) was moved by Councilmember Pratton and seconded by Councilmember Reid.
