Planning Commission files 2024–25 annual report; commission credits staff support

Dan Denier, chair of the Galt Planning Commission, presented the commission’s annual report for fiscal year 2024–25 during the Sept. 2 City Council meeting.
Denier told the council the commission handled a busy year of development applications, architectural reviews and code interpretations while ensuring consistency with the city’s general plan and municipal ordinances. He credited council and staff, including Assistant City Manager Mendez and planning division staff, for their support and said the written report was submitted in the council packet.
Council members thanked the commission for its work and noted planning issues are often complex and contentious as the city balances growth with preservation of community character.
Denier’s presentation was brief and no formal council action was required.
