The approved consent agenda included nine purchase orders totaling about $100,390 and warrants and checks totaling $4,472,181, county staff said. “We issued nine purchase orders this week totaling about $100,000,” Ricky Hatch, a county staff member who summarized the warrants and purchase orders, said during the financial summary.
Hatch provided a breakdown of the larger warrants. About $2,100,000 went to road construction work on 4000 North and North Plains City Road; that expense was paid with transportation-tax dollars. About $519,000 (12 percent of the total) covered jail expenses, including inmate medical and dental services. The county also recorded payments for ice-sheet chiller and compressor replacement ($512,000), additional road construction ($417,000), paramedic services ($350,000), and several vendor payments, including to Louis A. Rosner Company, VitalCore Health Strategies, and Weber Human Services.
Other items approved on the consent agenda included new business licenses, approval of minutes for the Sept. 16, 2025 meeting, authorization to surplus furniture and equipment at the Ag and Events Conference Center, a contract for an indigent defense attorney in the second district court with Carl Anderson, authorization to sell surplus property identified as Parcel Number 13‑151‑0006, and a contract for prosecuting services with Gary Hubert.
No members of the public addressed the commission on agenda items during the public-comment period, and no roll-call votes were recorded for the consent package. A commissioner moved to approve the consent items as presented; the motion was seconded and the commission approved the package by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned after approval of the consent agenda.
