Board member Mr. Harris, who announced his support during the meeting, said the decision followed months of data review and community input and was made with the district's long-term finances and minimal student disruption in mind. “After months of reviewing the data, listening to you, the community, and weighing our options, I believe that closing Preston Elementary, though painful, is the most responsible choice for the long term financial health of this district,” Mr. Harris said.
