Clinton County’s Board of Zoning Appeals voted unanimously Sept. 23 to continue an application for a roadside sign while the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) completes its review.
Board members said staff and the applicant have been working with INDOT but had not received a determination that aligned with the county ordinance. Planning staff told the board the applicant has been “diligent in trying to communicate with INDOT,” but state-level review was still pending.
Staff recommended the continuance and told the board its rules allow two continuances without a rule waiver. A motion to continue application CCDash2025Dash00720, docket 24-25-B, passed on a roll-call vote: Grant Mueller — yes; Stacy Pedigan — yes; Chester Banks — yes.
The board did not adopt new conditions at the meeting. Staff said it and the applicant would continue to coordinate with INDOT. The item will return to the agenda once INDOT has provided the needed feedback or the applicant requests further action.
