Deputy Director Seggin (staff) reported that pre-construction meetings for the new fire station with the construction manager and architect have taken place and that site preparation work will be visible through the winter, with construction scheduled to begin in May.
Council members also promoted New Berlin Fest and the Chamber of Commerce Chocolate Walk on Oct. 4 as community engagement opportunities, and Member Bethenny (council member) recognized the efforts of department heads preparing the city budget during the budget season.
No formal actions were taken on the Parks Master Plan or events during the meeting; the remarks were informational.
