Seminole County commissioners voted unanimously Sept. 23 to transmit proposed amendments to the county comprehensive plan to the state for review, implementing a 2021 school interlocal agreement, adding definitions and funding language for microtransit and incorporating the Seminole County School Board's five-year capital improvements plan.
The amendments revise the introduction, transportation, public school facilities, intergovernmental coordination and capital improvement elements of the comprehensive plan and would bring county language into alignment with the 2021 School Interlocal Agreement (effective Dec. 9, 2024), the county's planner told the board.
David German, senior planner in Development Services, said the changes include new definitions, updated level-of-service and facility standards tied to the interlocal agreement, adoption by reference of the school board's five-year capital improvements plan from the district budget book, and a definition for microtransit to reflect the…
